Of Holidays and Changes

Whoever said "A change is as good as a holiday" has clearly never been on a holiday.  Or at least not the kind of holiday thatI would want to have.  And I would definitely not want to go on their kinds of holidays.  No indeed .. I think that the saying should be "Nothing is as good as a Holiday" or "Change is nothing like a holiday"....*

Change is stressful ... I'm mean sure change is exciting, but it can also be troublesome (even good change).  Change prevents stagnation, but change also requires hard work.  Change can bring happiness, but also sadness.  Okay ... its a pretty long list and I'm not feeling sentimental.  The bottom line is that change is NOTHING like a holiday.

Although, come to think of it ... a holiday is a change. A change from routine, from work stress and work politics, a change from annoying clients.

So ... I'm not really sure what my point is then and I seem to have argued myself into a corner.  

*Sigh*

I have 1 day left until I go on leave and I can't wait ... clearly my brain needs the break.
